However, the context does not allow for expanding on this subject. Glorious is the majesty of our Lady, who used to prevent meeting even with the blind, saying: "If he does not see me, I see him." She prevented even the air and the scent from reaching the stranger, so she would not be in a single space with any person. This is what we say, and we dissociate from the saying of the Muqassirah, the impersonators of Shi'ism, those who describe her with humiliation, or slapping her own face, and wailing, or those who say she was beaten, or taken captive, or seen, or terrified.

We say to You, O my Lady: We have not risen except for Your sake, and we have not set up our war against these lowly ones except for You, for Your privacy, O Sister of the Moon and Daughter of the Exalted, Powerful God. Your Father (may his majesty be magnified) said in his Nahj al-Balagha when invading Al-Anbar with Muawiyah's army, yet they (his men) did not rise:

“Now then, surely I have called you to fight these people night and day, secretly and openly, and I said to you: 'Invade them before they invade you,' for by Allah, no people have ever been invaded in the depth of their abode but that they were humiliated. But you entrusted it to others and deserted one another until raids were launched against you and your homelands were possessed. This is the brother of Ghamid; his cavalry has arrived at Al-Anbar, and Hassan bin Hassan al-Bakri has been killed, and he has removed your cavalry from its garrisons. I have been informed that a man among them would enter upon a Muslim woman and another woman of the Protected People (Mu'ahidah), snatching her anklet, her bracelet, her necklaces, and her earrings, while she could offer no resistance to him except by reciting 'We belong to God, and to Him we shall return' and asking for mercy. Then they departed laden with spoil; not a man among them suffered a wound, nor was their blood shed. If a Muslim man were to die of sorrow after this, he would not be blameworthy for it; rather, he would be worthy of it in my view.

O wonder! Wonder! By Allah, it kills the heart and brings grief: the gathering of these people upon their falsehood and your separation from your truth! So ugliness to you and grief, when you have become a target at which arrows are shot; you are raided and you do not raid, you are invaded and you do not invade, and Allah is disobeyed and you are pleased! If I order you to march towards them in the days of heat, you say: 'This is the height of summer heat; give us respite until the heat subsides from us.' And if I order you to march towards them in the winter, you say: 'This is the biting cold; give us respite until the cold passes from us.' All of this is fleeing from the heat and the cold; so if you flee from the heat and the cold, then you are, by Allah, even more fleeing from the sword."1
