Rather, it is as our Master Al-Baqir (may his glory be exalted) said:
"When Shimr came with the armies to the tents to plunder them, my Aunt, Al-Aqila (the Noble Lady), stopped them with a single gesture: 'Do not approach, otherwise you will be punished. What you want, we will give to you ourselves.' Then she gave everything to Shimr (may Allah curse him). Then the angels descended from the sky, spread their wings, and created a veil around the Alawite women; it was not possible for any person to see the Veiled Ladies."1
Now, what do we believe? "Captive like slaves," or "the angels descended and veiled the people from seeing"?
Or do you say: No, rather the Resemblance (Shabah) occurred in the Opposite (Al-Did), as the Devotees (Al-Ghulat)—may Allah elevate their station—say?
And these are the Hadiths of the Waqifite Ismailis bearing witness against you with the news of the Pure Imams (may their glory be exalted) regarding what happened to the Lady Fatima (from her is Light and Mercy).
From him (may his glory be exalted): "Likewise, the Lady Fatima (may her glory be exalted); all that descended of calamities and denied things was upon the Imagination, which is the Veil."2
Knowing that the Ismailis do not care much for such issues, for all matters with them are established around their claimed Imams, whether from the Nizaris or the Tayyibis and the rest of their polytheistic groups.
We increase the reader [in knowledge] and say: Not only were the beating and the seeing not realized, but even their voices were not heard. Even the known sermon of the Lady Zaynab (may her mention be magnified)—its reality is other than what you have heard and known.
