I said: 'O my Master, what will happen after that?' He said: 'When you wish to depart, I will inform you, and then he will inform you after me.'" Al-Hussein bin Hamdan said to Ali bin Ahmad: "Hurry up, for by Allah, my soul is almost flying out of my body!" He said: "My Master said to me: 'O Ali bin Ahmad, do you know who was slaughtered on this day, and whose curse was publicized and announced on the tongue of every opponent and follower?' I said: 'O my Master, You know that better than I do.' He said: 'The Iblis of Iblises and the Pharaoh of Pharaohs, the Greatest Satan and the Greatest Pharaoh, was slaughtered. He is slaughtered every day like this day. A hundred thousand of his party are also slaughtered with him, and their blood flows on the face of the earth. This must happen. He is slaughtered in this place, and his blood flows to Al-'Alqamī. So get up, O Ali bin Ahmad, and hold firmly to that. Reveal it to those of your brothers whom you trust, rejoice in it, and strive not to miss gathering with your brothers on a day like this, those whom Allah has honored with what He honored you. Let that day be a day of joy, happiness, and Eid for you.'"1

Lady Zaynab, may her glory be exalted, said to Yazīd bin Mu'āwiya, may Allah curse him: "By Allah, you have only cut your own skin, and only cut your own flesh."2

Allahu Akbar (God is Greater)! You have only cut your own skin!

How can the Lady, may her glory be exalted, liken the skin of Al-Hussein to the skin of Yazīd and the flesh of Al-Hussein to the flesh of Yazīd! Do you not understand? Do you not hear? Do you not see? Yes, an interpreter from among you will come and say that she meant that by this act, he will be eternally in the fire, and so on. An interpretation that has no value before all these proofs we have brought you! My Lady did not mean by that anything but that the one killed in Karbala is 'Umar, may Allah curse him, and he is the one from whom the lineage of Yazīd, may Allah curse him, originates.

Our Master Al-Baqir, may his glory be exalted, said: "And likewise, Fāṭima, may her glory be exalted. All the calamities and abominable things that befell her were upon the imagination (al-khayāl), and that is the veil."3
