"And know, O Salmān, that the evil tree is Sakad, upon him be the curse. This is for whoever denies My knowledge, opposes My messengers, shows enmity to My allies, denies My blessings, and befriends My enemies. They will be afflicted every fixed day with slaughter, flaying, breaking, cooking, creation, burning, drowning, pouring into molds, and rooting into stones and metals. They will return in the filth of creatures, the worms of vinegar and leeches, flies, mosquitoes, ants, and locusts, and in all the rest of the scraps until they return to scattered dust at the end of the tree. Then I will return them to the bodies of the maskh (deformed form), and I will bring them back to the torment they were in. Every time their skins are cooked, We will replace them with other skins, so they may taste the punishment of burning for what they used to do, O Salmān. This and the likes of it is the recompense for Our enemies and the enemies of Our followers."1

Our Master Al-Sadiq, may his glory be exalted, said to Al-Mufaddal, from him is peace: "And know, O Mufaddal, that your Master (Amir Al-Mouminine) manifested, in what he manifested, birth, marriage, and children. They also viewed him in the state of childhood in humanity. All of this is a familiarity (ī'nās) by which the creation found comfort. All that befell him of accidents of harm, distress, sickness, killing, death, and others that he manifested as befalling him, it befell the Opponent (Umar, may Allah curse him). The misguided world thinks that it befell The Meaning (Amir Al-Mouminine), while it befell the Opponent as a recompense for his denial."2

Glory be to my Master from being afflicted by weakness, feebleness, and frailty. Exalted is my Lord from having children and wives.

In a narration, our Master Al-Hussein, may his glory be exalted, was ascending to the heaven, and the sun on his forearms was like sprinkled gold because of its closeness to its setting. When the Master knew the act, the sincerity of the intention, and the devotion of the heart from Hanzala, He ransomed him with the Second (Umar) from killing. So the act befell the Opponent, may Allah curse him.
