I did not truly know about the duel of Al-Husayn, exalted is His glory. I remained for days, then headed from there to the vicinity of Al-Ghadiriyyah, seeking relief for myself. While I was traveling towards Al-Tufuf and did not know about the army's duel with our Mawlana Al-Husayn, exalted is His glory, and it was late in the day, God unveiled my sight. I saw horses ascending to the sky, with riders on them, wearing green clothes and red turbans, rising from the earth to the sky. When I turned my eyes and God unveiled my sight, behold, our Mawlana was with those ascending horses! Those riders were flying with the horses, and the horses had wings, each wing spanning between the horizons. Behold, they were rising from the earth to the seventh heaven! God unveiled my sight, and I looked closely at the group, and I recognized all of them by their descriptions and characteristics. Behold, they were the very number who were at Karbala with our Mawlana Al-Husayn! And behold, my Mawla Al-Husayn, exalted is His glory, was sitting upon the Throne! His form, which was the image of Al-Husayn, changed in my eyes. I saw Him change into several forms, some of which I knew and some I did not. Behold, He was saying: 'This inverted creation entertained doubts about Me, thinking they could overcome the Overcomer of overcomers and the Owner of the Day of Judgment! Far be it! Far be it! How many times have they been repeated after a return, and mistaken after a mistake? Then My respite overtakes them, and it only increases them in transgression and arrogance until My manifestation in the return of returns and the comeback of comebacks! Then I will strike them with the cutter of causes and the painful torment, and I am the High, the Magnificent!'1
Glory be to our Magnificent Lord, and by His praise! I bear witness to You, O my Mawla, and affirm that You are the Most Merciful of the merciful in the place of pardon and mercy, and the most severe of punishers in the place of exemplary punishment and vengeance, and the most magnificent of the domineering in the place of grandeur and magnificence2.
