Then He said: 'O Ammar, extend your gaze, for you will see a wonder.' I extended my gaze, and behold, the land we were on had become a great sea, its waves like firm mountains, and behold, my Mawla Amir Al-Mouminine, exalted is His glory, and Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn were standing upon a raised piece of land. I looked, and my Mawla's army was moving as if it were moving on land. I said: 'O my Master, be gentle with Ammar. Were it not for Your gentleness towards me, my Mawla, I would have perished.' I fell on my face onto the pommel of my saddle. He called out to me: 'O Ammar, raise your head.' I raised my head to look at Him, and behold, I was in the place where the army was moving, Al-Hasan was moving in his position, and likewise Al-Husayn. I increased my praise of my Mawla and thanked Him for His blessing upon me. I did not mention anything of that to my Mawla, nor did He mention anything of it to me, as if it had never happened.
If the reader notes the saying of the Mawla: "They are being slaughtered, killed and repeated in all bodies, tasting in them the killing and slaughter which they think is happening to Al-Husayn, but is happening to them, until God reveals the disclosure of that."
It means that what you believe and narrate to be happening to Al-Husayn, exalted is His glory, or to the family of Muhammad, will happen to you, and you will be repeated until you are exposed to it because of your assumption and your audacity against your Mawla, unless the disclosure happens, the proof is established against you, and you retract your statement and repent.
We also note that the Opponent (Al-Didd), may God curse him, who appeared in the event, are individuals who are the enemies of the family of Muhammad, magnificent is their glory. If someone asks and says: "Did Umar appear physically in this killing as an obligation?"
We say, and God is the Guide, that it came from our Mawali, magnificent is their glory, that they rejoice in our joy, grieve in our grief, and become ill with our illness.1
From Abu Al-Rabi' Al-Shami: He said: I said to our Mawlana Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq, exalted is His glory, "A hadith concerning Umar ibn Ishaq has reached me." He said: "Present it." He said: Our Mawlana Amir Al-Mouminine, exalted is His glory, entered and saw paleness on his face. He asked: "What is this paleness?" He mentioned an ailment he had. Ali, exalted is His glory, said to him: "We indeed rejoice in your joy, grieve in your grief, become ill with your illness. We pray for you, so you pray, and we say Amen." Amr said: "I understood what you said, but how do we pray, and you say Amen?" He said: "The one who is far and the one who is present are the same to us." Abu Abdullah, peace comes from him, said: "Amr spoke the truth."2
