Exalted is His glory said: 'Look, O Ammar, for I show you this because I want to make you absent from this existence of yours, and your Mawla will manifest - with the grace He deems fit for you - upon you.' I asked: 'O my Master, where is our camp?' He said: 'It is standing right here, though it appears to be moving.' I said: 'Yes, my Master, by God, this is our army.' I saw Al-Hasan, Al-Husayn, and Muhammad ibn Al-Hanafiyyah, each in the position assigned to him by Amir Al-Mouminine, exalted is His glory. Al-Hasan was on the right flank, and Al-Husayn was on the left flank, in their condition, unchanged from their reality.

I looked at myself and at Amir Al-Mouminine, exalted is His glory. Al-Hasan, Al-Husayn, and Amir Al-Mouminine with them in that place. I said: 'This is indeed amazing! Amir Al-Mouminine, Al-Hasan, and Al-Husayn are standing in this place, yet they are in their positions in the moving army!' I continued in this state until I saw a great army with banners, standards, contracts, horses, men, riders heading towards those tents, and a small group in which Al-Abbas was moving. I continued looking at them until I saw Al-Husayn in their midst.

I asked: 'O my Master, should I go to them?' He said: 'Do you know what you are saying, O Ammar? This is not Al-Husayn. By God, I have seen the charge, the counter-charge, and the fighting, and I see Al-Husayn charging on the right flank of the people around the tents. Yet He is standing with Me and with Amir Al-Mouminine, exalted is His glory, having neither left nor moved.'

I kept seeing that until only a few people remained from the entire group. I saw Al-Abbas with his legs severed, kneeling on his knees and fighting until he was killed. I said: 'O Amir Al-Mouminine, we are heading to fight Mu'awiyah, and he is in the Levant. Yet these are his detachments, his vanguard has burned our homes, they are killing those with Al-Husayn until they have annihilated them, and we are standing here! Allow me to charge at them and drive them away from Him, or order the army to crush them and destroy them!'

He said: 'O Ammar, did I not tell you that I have bestowed this blessing upon you, and I have shown you what will be, as Muhammad, exalted is His glory, reported it would happen through Al-Husayn?' I said: 'Yes, my Master.' He said: 'Then understand, learn a lesson, and reflect upon it.'
