So I started looking at Al-Husayn. He was Muhammad, and I had no doubt about it. Then Al-Husayn approached, I saw Al-Husayn, and He was Muhammad. I said: 'This is Al-Husayn in form, and all are one.' He said: 'Yes, O Ammar, they are one, indivisible and inseparable.'

Then He pointed to the earth, it split open with rivers. It grew trees, palms, fruit, and every type of plant ripened. I saw riders, tents, women, and children. I said to myself: 'I know this place to be a barren wilderness; when did what I am witnessing occur here?' Exalted is His glory said: 'O Ammar, do you know what this is?' I said: 'O my Mawla, You know what You are asking me about, and I only know it through You.' He said: 'O Ammar, this that you see is where there will be a trial and a lesson, just as there was with Jesus, Moses, and John (Yahya). It was made to appear so to the creation, and what you see will happen here.'

I said: 'What are You showing me? I will stand until our army is gone, and no one remains but me, Him, and Al-Husayn.' He said: 'O Ammar, look at what you wish to see from Me that will come to pass. Al-Husayn has already reported it about Himself, and He is the Manifest Muhammad.' I asked: 'O my Master, what did He report?' He said: 'He reported to Muhammad that Al-Husayn will be killed at Karbala, and that the army of Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah will kill Him and carry His head and His family to the Levant (Al-Sham). This Al-Husayn is the Reporter Muhammad, and these are the tents of His family and children with these companions who will be killed with Him.' I looked and saw Al-Abbas ibn Ali among those I saw.

He said: 'O Ammar, I will reveal to you the explanation of this so you may witness it before it happens, so you know that it exists before its creation and manifestation. The people of this world say that things that happen in the world are events that occur at their time and were not constituted before their existence. This is not as they say; rather, the things that exist from the time of eternity until their concealment are constituted alongside their manifestation, and they were not created anew as accidents.' I said: 'My Mawla, You are more Knowing, more Wise, more Powerful, and more Subduing.'
