He said: 'O Ammar, did I not already tell you that I have bestowed this favor upon you, and that I only revealed to you what is intended to be, as informed by Muhammad, may his glory be exalted, that it will happen through Al-Hussein?' I said: 'Yes, O my Master!' He said: 'Look, discern, take a lesson, and contemplate it.' As I was doing that, I saw Al-Hussein with a nursing infant on his hand, who had been brought out to him from one of the tents. He was kissing him and holding him close until an arrow struck him, killing him while he was on his palm. Behold, Al-Hussein lifted him and said: 'O Allah, bear witness!' I said: 'And what is it, O my Master? Where did Al-Hussein get this infant?' He said: 'O Ammar, this is an infant that he manifested at its time.' As I was looking at him, behold, the one with the infant on his hand was Sakad (Umar, may Allah curse him). I said to myself: 'Could it be that my Master was pleased with him, so he manifested him in the image of Al-Hussein?' I kept looking at him until cavalry troops charged at him from every side and surrounded him. They began striking him with swords and stabbing him with spears until he fell to the ground. They cut off his head and raised it immediately on a spear, and they said: 'We have killed Al-Hussein bin Ali.' I looked at a people I recognized and ascertained, and they had surrounded the women's tents and dealt harshly with them. Then they marched with the men and women after looting everything they had. I wondered about that and said: 'O my Master, what is this that you have revealed to me? It is too great and overwhelming for me.' He said: 'O Ammar, your Master manifests this in this place and creates it. This world will say: Al-Hussein bin Ali was killed by the hand of Yazid bin Mu'awiya, may Allah the Exalted curse him. But that will only be upon the Second (Umar) and his followers. Allah will make them taste the heat and coolness of iron as long as they say Al-Hussein was killed, them and all who say so in this world, until the day Allah reveals His affair.' I said: 'O my Master, will all this happen in this place?' He said: 'Yes!' I said: 'And will I be present?' He said: 'You will be present, but you will not be called Ammar, but by another name.' I said: 'O my Master, what will be the state of the world at that time when you manifest that to them?' He said: 'O Ammar, they will be enraged at the one who committed and did it, they will curse the one who did it, though they do not know who did it, and they will curse the one who desired it. By that cursing, resentment, and defiance of the doer of that deed, punishment becomes due. By Allah, no one does it but your Master, and no one manifests it but your Master. They will be slaughtered and killed, and they will return in the temples of killing and slaughter that they described as happening to Al-Hussein, but it is happening to them. They will taste the torment until the revelation of that is manifested.'
