In a lengthy Hadith between Abdullah bin Saba1 and Our Master Al-Baqir, may his glory be exalted, after Our Master, may his glory be exalted, appeared to him in a different image, He then appeared to him as Al-Hussein, may his glory be exalted:
When (Abdullah bin Saba) awoke, he saw Al-Hussein bin Ali, may his glory be exalted, with the full moon and Jupiter shining from his lips and teeth, and the Sun of the Greatest World radiating from his face, causing distress as if it would burn Abdullah. He was saying: "There is no might and no power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Great. There is no god but Me. I am the Punisher of the disbelievers and the Deliverer of the believers. I am Al-Hussein bin Ali, and I am Al-Hasan bin Ali, and I am Fatima Al-Zahra, and I am Ali the Most High, and I am Muhammad Al-Mustafa." So Abdullah fell to the ground again.2
From Al-Mufaddal bin Umar, from him is peace, Our Master Abi Abdullah Al-Sadiq, may his glory be exalted, said: "It is as if, by Allah, the angels and the believers have crowded around the tomb of Al-Hussein, may his glory be exalted." I said: "Do they see him?" He said: "Far be it, far be it. By Allah, they have adhered to the believers, so much so that they wipe their faces with their hands." He said: "And Allah sends down to the visitors of Al-Hussein, morning and evening, food from Paradise, and their servants are angels. No servant asks Allah for a need of this world or the Hereafter but He grants it to him." I said: "By Allah, this is truly honor!" He said: "O Mufaddal, shall I tell you more?" I said: "Yes, my Master." He said: "It is as if a bed of light has been placed, and a dome of red ruby, studded with jewels, has been erected over it. It is as if Al-Hussein is sitting on that bed, surrounded by ninety thousand green domes. It is as if the believers are visiting him and greeting him. So Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, says to them: 'O My friends, ask Me! For you have long been persecuted, humiliated, and oppressed. This is a day when you shall not ask Me for any need of this world or the Hereafter but I shall grant it to you.' Thus, their food and drink will be in Paradise. By Allah, this is the honor that has no end and whose limit cannot be reached."3
