"But it has become binding upon you, by your returning [My saying] against Me, that you descend to the earth, and I create for you the clay, fleshy, bloody bodies, and I veil Myself in what I create for you. So whoever knows Me here, knows Me there."

So they said: "If You create bodies for us and veil us with them, and veil Yourself with them, and appear to us, we will know You and find You, and we will not disobey You as those who preceded us from the worlds whom You sent down to it disobeyed You.

The evidence for that is His saying, the Mighty and Majestic: {And [mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successor." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt [You] with praise of You and sanctify You?" He said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."}¹.
