And we clarify the face of justice according to what we have gone towards, so we say by the success granted by Allah: Indeed, the blind, the chronically ill 1, the paralyzed, and the possessor of all these symptoms—this only attaches to him as a recompense for an act that proceeded from him in other than that body.
And that the human transfers from a body to a body. And he may have had, in a shirt [body] before that shirt from which he became blind, a sin for which he deserved blindness, so he becomes blind; or a sin for which he deserved poverty, so he becomes poor.
And likewise, those whom He gave the world, they had done that for which they deserved wealth, so they became wealthy according to the measure of their deed—whether good for good, or evil for evil.
And we shall indicate this in the [Chapter of Transmigration], and we shall establish the proof for it with a scriptural and rational argument in a chapter following this chapter, God willing. Do you not see that many of the tyrannical, arrogant kings who kill souls without right and take wealth by force—the Creator only gave them that as justice for what had preceded from them of the deed for which they deserved this, and to pay them their wages in full; then He holds them accountable for the sins they committed, so He recompenses them for it.
