So when they lacked the Dome, they turned towards that place in the Holiness (al-Quds) when they stood for prayer. And he made for it rulings and conditions other than those [previous] rulings and conditions. Then Jesus came with the contrary of that and opposed those who preceded him, because they indicated others, while he pointed to himself. Then he permitted the Sabbath. Then, his companions venerated Sunday [Al-Ahad] because of their belief that in it he rose from the grave and ascended to heaven. Then they prayed toward the East, believing they were turning toward him because the Jews made his face toward the East when they crucified him, so the Christians turned toward the East. Then, he did not impose upon them an obligation [Taklif], but his companions ordered the obligation.
And that is because he said to them:
"Whatever you make lawful is lawful, and whatever you make unlawful is unlawful."So he commanded his companions regarding the Eucharist [Qurban], bread, and wine. Then he manifested inability, so the Jews took him, killed him, and crucified him. But Muhammad belied them with his saying, Mighty is the Speaker: (And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them)1.
