And from Abu Shu'ayb—from him is peace—from Umar b. Duhaym, who said: The Sage (Al-Hakim) said:
"He lied who claimed that Allah is in a thing, or from a thing, or on a thing. For whoever claims He is in a thing has made Him encompassed. Whoever claims He is from a thing has made Him originated. And whoever claims He is on a thing has made Him carried. Allah is the Goal of goals, and the Meaning is other than the goal. He is unified by Lordship and described Himself with other than limitation. Thus, the mention of Allah1 is other than Allah, and Allah is other than His Names.Every name that is other than Allah, or attribute, or meaning, or thing upon which the name falls, is created.
Do you not see that you say: 'Might belongs to Allah' and 'Grandeur belongs to Allah'? And Allah the Exalted has said: {Say: Call upon Allah or call upon the All-Merciful; whichever you call upon, to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names}2 So the names are annexed to Allah."
The Sage (Al-Hakim) said: "This is the pure Monotheism (Tawhid), so hold fast to it."
