Abu Muhammad b. Shu'ba (peace be upon him) said in the book Haqa'iq Asrar al-Din [Realities of the Secrets of Religion]: I mentioned the Alawiyyun in the gathering of Abu Abd Allah, so he said like one in anger: "They magnified the name, and drank wine."

Indeed, Allah honored a House in which He appeared and attributed it to Himself; and indeed, none of you becomes pure until he has a birth within us.
