I desired to make it a concise book, clarifying within it proofs, demonstrations, and indications regarding the affirmation of the Maker (al-Sani'), Monotheism (Tawhid), Justice, Manifestation (Zuhur), the Beginning (al-Ibtida'), and the End (al-Intiha'). I have organized it into chapters so that its meaning becomes clear and its content becomes evident.
In all of this, I have mentioned correct proofs and fine, elegant demonstrations, to which the Intellect testifies, before which excuses are cut short, through which doubt vanishes, with which the Truth stands, and by which Falsehood is repelled. I have supported them with the Well-Known Book [the Quran], the Transmitted Report [Hadith], and the Inscribed Canon. I have interpreted that of which the meaning was difficult and that which was confused with other than it. I have established the proof regarding the Fundamentals (Usul) and submitted to the Master of the Command in the Branches (Furu'), so that the argument may be confirmed, and the clear path (al-Mahajja) 1 may become distinct.
