The offspring (Al-Walad) is the disciple (Al-Tilmidh); He says: it beautifies the gnosis of his disciples.
Whosoever eats twenty-one raisins on an empty stomach in his day, Allah shall protect him from the evil of that day; and it is said: his body shall be healthy. Its meaning: He says that whosoever knows twenty-one Regions (Mantiq) from the Babite Regions at a time when he recognizes them with their true gnosis—distinguishing who among them is the Speaking (Al-Natiq) and who is the Silent (Al-Samit)— Allah will repel from him the doubt which is disbelief.
He said: It is obligatory for the Muslim man to come unto his folk (his wife) on the first night of the month of Ramadan, due to the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: {It has been made lawful for you the night of the fast to go in unto your women} 1.
"Going in" (Al-Rafath) is the handshake, and it is said: it is the joining in study (Al-Mudhakara). The Muslim man is the believer who has believed in Allah and His Messenger both outwardly (Zahiran) and inwardly (Batinan), and has surrendered himself in obedience to Allah and in calling unto his Lord.
The folk (Al-Ahl) are his disciples, and "Going in" (AlRafath) is the discourse of the Inward Science (Ilm alBatin).
