The Commander of the Faithful—Majestic is his mention— said: "Two nations from the Children of Israel were transformed (into animals); one on land and the other in the sea, so do not eat except what you recognize." "Israel" is Muhammad, the "Children" are the believers, and the "two nations" are those who claim lineage from the offspring of al-Hasan and al-Husayn. The "Land" is al-Hasan, and the "Sea" is al-Husayn, because the Imamate and the sciences are within the offspring of al-Husayn; he is the "Sea" in the esoteric sense of sciences.
