And that is the saying of the Commander of the Faithful— Majestic is his mention: "When the servant recites the Tashahhud: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger,' and completes it with the verse: 'And that the Hour is coming, no doubt about it' 1 and 'Does he not know, when that which is in the graves is scattered, and that which is in the breasts is made manifest?' 2, then his prayer is complete." Prayer, in its entirety, is Faith and Gnosis of Allah; and no one who desired His Gnosis has known Allah except through seeking and submission to the knowledge of the Scholar.
The Commander of the Faithful—Majestic is his mention— said: "Allah has not been worshipped by anything more
intense than 'Walking' (al-Mashi)."And "walking" is the seeking (of knowledge). It is not for the believer to reveal his religion to the Muqazminah (Determiners) or the Mufawwidah (Delegators).
The Commander of the Faithful—Majestic is his mention— said: "A man is not to uncover his thighs and sit among his people." The "two thighs" are the two parents, and his "people" are the Muqazminah and the Mufawwidah.
