They [strayed] from this, departing from You and Your Gnosis (Ma'rifa); they denied You, rejected You, spoke of other than You, and took for You a partner, an Opposite (Didd), and a rival (Nidd). How they have failed to exalt You, O my Master! You made the Caller to You a witness against them when he said: {"You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, while I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] prayer in this world or in the Hereafter, and our return is to Allah, and the transgressors are the companions of the Fire. And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants"} 1.
How disbelieving is this inverted, rebellious creation; they have become ignorant of You and Your Gnosis. Woe to them as servants, and destruction and annihilation [be upon them]. They shall dwell in the places of torment, be transformed within the compounded forms (al-
Murakkabat), and be burned in the cycles [of rebirth], {"you shall surely embark upon stage after stage"} 2.
