O my Master, I ask You by Your Gate and by whosoever has sought Your Gnosis; so grant me what You promised me, for You said—and Your word is the truth: 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you' 1.
Thus, I call upon You as You commanded me, so respond to me as You promised me; indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise."
If a man among you professes the Oneness of his Lord:
When a man among you professes the Oneness (Wahhada) of his Lord, let him say: "My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, for You are the best of those who bring to land. O Allah, make it a permanent station and do not make it a temporary depository. O Prince of the Bees, indeed You are the Doer of that, so do [it] for me and increase me in sublime Gnosis so that I may not deny anything of Your Gnosis and sciences that reaches me, and let me acknowledge Your signs, Your messengers, and Your stations. My Master, transport me to the Abode of Purity as a Gnostic of You, neither denying nor rejecting, and grant that for the congregation of the believers."
If one of you enters the marketplace:
When one of you enters the marketplace and looks upon the creation, let him say: "O Allah Greater, Allah is Greater, Allah is Greater. Exalted are You, O Ali, for You have made equality among Your creation and sustained them, each according to the measure of his deed, his acknowledgment, his denial, and the good he is capable of and practices.
