If you look in the mirror:

If you look in the mirror, say: "O Prince of the Bees, from You, by You, and for You. O Allah, grant me Purity (alSafwa), and complete [Your favor] upon Your servant by Your generosity and Your bounty, and upon the believers."

If you retire to bed:

If you retire to bed, say: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Most High the Great, I bear witness that the form is Your creation, the names are Your stations, the attributes are Your messengers, and the descriptions are Your servants. I bear witness that You do not shift, nor vanish, nor change, and that neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes You, O Prince of the Bees. Awaken me from my sleep in complete well-being, and avert from me doubt and heedlessness; for You do not love those who are heedless of Your Gnosis (Ma'rifa). O Allah, grant me the visitation of the believers in this slumber of mine, clothe me in Your radiant garment, make me firm through the firm word, cause me to die as a monotheist cognizant of You, and join me with my brothers who are pure around Your Throne."

If you awaken from your sleep:

If you awaken from your sleep—and sleep is heedlessness

—then say: "There is no god but Allah, the Most High, the Great, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Glory be to You, O Ali, O Great One. Glory be to Him who gives life to bones while they are disintegrated.
