It was said: The angels ascend with the servant's deed to heaven; if the deed is corrupt, Allah, Mighty and Majestic is He, says: "Place his deed in Sijjin." But if it is righteous, Allah opens for him seventy gates of mercy, repentance, and forgiveness.

He, the Exalted, said regarding the mockers: {"And when they meet those who believe, they say, 'We believe'; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, 'Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers.' [But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly"} 1. Verily, the highest degree of faith is Gnosis (Ma'rifa) of Him through Himself, not through another, for the other is created while He is the Creator. The lowest degree is: removing harm from the path, which is the removal of the Opposite (al-Didd) from the Truth (alHaqq).

It was said: Do not let the fool (al-Ahmaq) look upon Gnosis, for the profoundly foolish person is among those of whom Allah, Glory be to Him and Exalted is He, said: "Three people whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them: the fool, the one who consumes through his religion, and the disputer regarding the Gnosis of Allah."
